Jenevieve (Jen) Kuang is a postdoctoral researcher in the Atkinson Lab at Princeton University. She earned her PhD in Chemistry from Northeastern University, where she integrated engineered microbes with stimuli-responsive polymers to create dynamic Engineered Living Materials (ELMs). Her doctoral research focused on using optogenetic control of microbial systems to reversibly modulate material properties. At Princeton, Jen is excited to engineer light-responsive proteins to enable optogenetic, template-free DNA synthesis. Outside the lab, she enjoys cooking and hosting dinner parties, exploring new restaurants, and playing Magic: The Gathering.
